Duck, Duck, Goose

Or maybe I should say duckling, duckling, gosling! I had such a good time at Riverfront Park watching the duck and geese families. The babies are so much fun to watch as they learn to be wary of humans. They love to be in the water, swimming and quacking.

Today was my first day at my new job. I am thinking that I am really going to like this job. I have so much to learn, but I know that I can do it. I am looking forward to mastering everything so that I can just get the work done. I don't enjoy training at all but it is has to be done. One of the things that I am so exited about is the fact that every other Friday we get to wear jeans to work and the dress code is business casual!! What  breath of fresh air after having to dress up for the last 6 years.

The weather this weekend is supposed to be in the 80's, woooooo hoooooooo!!

Monthly photos

Just wanted to take a moment to share a new photo of Kaya. It is that time of month to take the photo of Kaya and her bunny. 

                                                                                                    
Just look at how big she has gotten! She is almost as big  as the bunny now.  I love the look on her face in this photo. She is really starting to get a personality. She is very talkative.

I took a few photos of her (imagine that) after we did the bunny photos and one of them I just adore.
                                                   
I went out this morning to Riverfront Park and took some photos of the baby ducks and baby geese. I will share some of those photos later. I got some really cute ones. What is it about baby animals that is so appealing??

Whooo's there?

I posted earlier that I would be posting a couple of  cards later today.

I just love these new stamps that I ordered from Gina K. I am loving the owls. The set has two different owl stamps and lots of sayings.

I am happy with the way that they turned out. They were both pretty easy to do.

After work tonight I went and played horseshoes with my coworkers for awhile. It was a nice end to the day and a fun way to spend some time with these great friends. Thanks girls.
                                                         

One day left.

I am down to one day left at my job. I have lots of mixed emotions running around inside of me. I am so excited to start my new job and so sad to leave all of my friends at my current job. One of the persons that I am sad to leave is my supervisor. I have always had a great  relationship with her and I will truly miss her. She has helped me grow and has always done everything that she can to help me along my in career with Valley. I am also sad to leave the girls in my department, they are all one of a kind and we have all worked so well together. So to Kindra, Renee, Irene, Amanda and Christine I will miss you all greatly.

I have worked 2 jobs for the last 5 years and tonight was the last night that I have to do that.  I am not going to have to work  a second job anymore. This new job will allow me to work 8 to 5  M-F and then get to be home with my husband and have evenings and weekends to spend with family. I am so excited for this opportunity. Having more time to spend with family has become very important to me since the birth of my granddaughter. I have always been a family person, but have missed out on alot in the last few years, now I hope to be able to spend more time with all members of my family.

Next month my son,Levi, is marrying his long time girlfriend, Robin. They recently had their engagement photos taken by  local photographer. If you would like to see the first few photos from that shoot please go here. There are some that  really like and there are some that I do not care for, but then it is that way with any art form. Art is in the eye of each artist and in the eye of each person viewing the art. I know that I have taken photos that I absolutely adore and my subjects do not care for. My son loves the fire escape photo and I do not care for it. While it is a great architectural, impressionistic photo it is not the photo that I want hanging on my wall of my son and his fiance. I  want a photo that shows the love and respect that they feel for each other hanging on my wall. Now don't get me wrong, I think that Ronnie is a great photographer and I know that he has taken some that reflect their love for one another.

We had a great time on Mother's Day. We had an indoor picnic at my sisters house. After we got home I took a 2 hour nap and then Tony and I went out for pizza for dinner. A very relaxing day and such a wonderful way to spend Mother's Day. Kaya was dressed for the occasion. Just look at that cute shirt that she has on. I bet you would never guess who bought that shirt for her, tee hee.

I have a few cards that I will share with you tomorrow night. I have not taken photos of them yet.

5 more days

I can't believe that it is already Wednesday. This week is just flying by. I have been super busy. I only have 5 more days at my current job and then it is off to the new one. When I start full time at UBS I will be working just one job. I am so excited, I have worked 2 jobs for 5 years now.

I won't be doing much creating this week. This weekend is Mother's Day, what are your plans? Kayla and my sister are planning a picnic on Sunday. It will be fun!! I have to get some shopping done before that day.

Vacation is over

Well my vacation time is over. I am sad, I do not want to go back to work tomorrow. I just really enjoyed my time relaxing last week.

I got everything on my list accomplished and I feel so good about that.

Yesterday I spent the day creating. I managed to get 3 layouts and 1 card done. I guess that I actually only created for about 6 hours. I went to the LSS twice and did some shopping for new clothes. I managed to find a few pairs of pants that I will be able to wear to my new job.

Tonight I created a photo kaleidoscope. I have not created one in quite a few years. I used to make them quite often, but for some reason quit making them. I really like the way that it turned out.

Well I guess that since I have to get up and go to work in the morning I should probably get to bed and try to get some sleep.

Happy NSD

NSD what is that you ask?  Well let me tell you it is National Scrapbook Day. If you are a scrapbooker you know that this is the day that we CELEBRATE our hobby!!

I am planning to do some scrapping today. Lesli and I are going to go to a LSS for their NSD celebration and maybe do a Make N Take. I know that they have some fun new things in and I want to check them out.

May 1st can you believe it?? Where did April go? It seems like I just created a new banner and now it is time to create a new one. Being that this month is Mother's Day, I am saluting Mothers. 

Yesterday I just mostly relaxed. I went with my daughter to Kaya's 2 month checkup. She is getting so big. The doctor said that she is doing great. She weighs 11 pounds and 9 ounces now. She got her first shots and I got all teary. I was fine with the first injection, but when they gave her the second one, the tears just started rolling down my cheeks. She was just crying that I am hurt cry and it just broke my heart. 

When we were done at the Doctor we met my parents for lunch. We went to Taco Bell, that is one of my parents favorite places to eat. Kayla and I like it too. We all visited for a few minutes and then we all went on our own way.

I did a little laundry, surfed the net, snoozed in the chair for a few minutes and then went to the shopping.  All in all it was a very relaxing day.

My hubby is off for the next 2 days, so I won't get much done. It will be nice to have some time together and I won't have to do the grocery shopping alone.

I am hoping that today and tomorrow I can get some scrapbooking in. We are supposed to get and inch or two of snow tonight, what is up with that? That is the perfect time to scrapbook.

My list has dwindled down to just a few items, I am feeling good about crossing them off.

Wonderful Wednesday

Today is already mid-week, I can't believe how fast time flies.

Yesterday was so much fun. Lesli and I took a road trip with our oldest daughters and our granddaughters.  We went to Bozeman, (it is about 2 hours away) and did a little shopping and ate at, (Makenzie River Pizza) my favorite restaurant there. We all did lots of visiting and laughing. It was such a fun time, a great way to spend one of my vacation days. While we were at lunch we gave Annicka a lemon. I got some great shots of her tasting her first lemon. Kaya just slept most of the time. She is such a good little traveler. Both of the little ones traveled well.

I bought a new ink pad at Joann Fabrics, it is a Versafine Black Onyx pad. Julie over at Out to Impress recommended it so I thought that I would give it a try. It is a pigment ink that dries fast. I did try stamping with it last night and I like how it looked. I hope to have a card to show you later today. I have the image colored but I was too tired to finish it last night. I got some new stamps from Gina K on Monday and I was dying to try them out.

My plans for today are pretty simple. I am going with Kayla and Kaya to Kaya's 2 month check up. I just can't believe that she is 2 months old already. She gets so happy when she sees me, she always smiles at me and coos at me. I LOVE that little girl!!! (but I bet you would have never guessed that)  Here are some photos that I took of her last weekend when I was taking care of her for a few minutes.

It as 82* here yesterday and I loved it. Today it is cloudy and only 45* right now. It is supposed to be rainy this afternoon. I am glad that we had at least 2 nice sunny, warm days this week. My neighbors plum tree is in bloom and my tulips are just getting started, can't wait for them to bloom so that I can get some photos of them.
