Today is the 5th but I am hoping that you had a wonderful 4th.

Today I have to head home and leave my little Hayleigh. I am sad, but on the bright side she is only 3 1/2 hours away. I have love the time I have been able to spend with her.

Just wanted to share a few photos of yesterday.

I have no idea who these boys are but they were just enjoying the day out on the lake. The fun of a summer day, hanging with friends, having lunch in the boat and fishing. What more could a young boy want?

Have a wonderful day tomorrow!

Time for a change

I have been very lax in my blog lately. I have become addicted to Facebook, It's not just Facebook but this mindless game of collecting eggs called Hatchlings. I have been spending way too much time playing this game. Tonight I decided that it was time to create a new blog banner. I have not had a new one for a couple of months.  What do you think?

I think that I have finally gotten caught up on my sleep. I have really enjoyed my time here with Renae, Del and Hayleigh. It has been so much fun watching my baby be a Mommy. She is such a natural at it. Hayleigh is a very good baby. She does not cry much and she is  a very happy baby.

What are you all planning for the 4th of July?

We are going to a park with Renae and Hayleigh for a picnic and to look at the chalk art that they do. We went to this last year and I was so impressed with some of the chalk art. It was very intricate and amazing.

Time to finally head off to bed. Have a great holiday weekend!!

A Couple of Cards to Share

I have been so busy lately and have not had much time to be creative. This past weekend I did manage to make a couple of cards. One of them was for a Baby shower and the other one was for my Dad for Father's Day.

I created these cards using a sketch that is going on over at Stamp TV. This is a great site and has wonderful tutorials for learning new techniques. Here are my cards.

I really like the way that these turned out. I have never done the inside of cards but I have been inspired by Jessica Fick. Check out her blog for some awesome talent and inspiration.

On a personal note, Renae is going to be induced on June 26th!! We are all so excited for little Hayleigh to get here. We will go to Gillette this weekend to meet our new granddaughter. We can hardly wait!!

Have a great week.

Happy Fathers Day

Today is the day that is set aside to honor our Fathers, Grandfathers, Step-fathers, Brothers, Uncles and/or anyone else who is a father figure in our lives.

A few weeks ago I was asked by the editor of a local publication, Yellowstone Valley Woman, to write an article about the lessons that I had learned from my Dad. I was happy to oblige.

Any one that knows my Dad knows what a wonderful man he is. I was truly blessed to have him as a father. I have learned so much from him in my lifetime and he has always been there when I needed him. He has been my support system, my shoulder to cry on and just some one to give advice when I ask for it. I love him more than he will ever know. If you would care to read the article, you can find it here on page 74.

I love you, Dad!!

Last night we had Kayla, Nick and Kaya over for a bbq. We had corn on the cob and Kaya thought it was fun to chew on the corn cobs. She just could not figure out how come we were eating outside.

Lavender-rose
This is one of my favorite roses. I do not know the name of this rose but it is a beautiful pale lavender color and it smells so good.

Have a great day and see you back here tomorrow!!

TOOTING MY OWN HORN

I was recently asked to be on the Design Team for our local scrapbook store, Scrapbook Legacies. I was very flattered and excited so of course I said yes!! I get an awesome kit each and every month and I just use the items in the kit to create, cards, layouts or altered items. The paper line was from Bo Bunny (Calypso) I think it is called.

Here are the creations I made with it.

Silly Girl

Sorry that they are a little bit blury. The last one is my favorite of all of them. I scraplifted the page from Laura Vegas, she is an uber-talented scrapbooker and I just love her creations. Of course having such great photos doesn't hurt anything.

We are hoping that we will have a new grandchild this week. They are all getting very close to being here.

Have a great Monday!!
