Catch up time

I have to play catch up today. I forgot something very important yesterday and I need to make sure to post it today.

Happy Birthday , Kenna!!!!

Kenna is my daughter, Kayla's best friend and my 3rd daughter. She was 25 years old yesterday. Can you imagine that a whole quarter of a century?!? I love that girl and wish that she lived closer to us, we miss her lots. I have known her for her whole life, I was there when she was born!! We have lots of history between us. Anyway Happy Birthday girlfriend!!

I have been busy making valentines cards and have a few to share today.

 

I am just loving the cupcake image right now, and these papers. They are so me, bright and colorful.

My plan for the weekend is to enjoy it. I need to put away all of the January (winter) decorations and put out my February (valentines) decorations. I love having themes of decorations in my house. I am going to do some scrapbooking also and enjoy some time with friends tomorrow for the Super Bowl.

for Erin and Stuart it's a BOY!!! We are both excited, but Papa Tony is extremely excited. Congrats guys!! Levi and Robin have not decided if they are going to find out the sex of their baby yet, so it may be a surprise. (I think that they will have a girl, we will see if I am right)

I went to the Dr this morning and my surgery is scheduled for Monday at 11:40. I will be glad to get it over with. I will be recuperating for 2 weeks. I have a couple of books that I will read and I have a gift card to Barnes and Noble that I am going to use this weekend.

I have been making lots of Valentine cards lately and hope to hae some photos of them posted later this evening. I was going to do it last night but after the mini album class that I took I was just too tired.

Biggest Loser (a little late)

Here we are 1/2 way to the next weigh in and I am just now posting our weight loss. As it always goes the losses have slowed down, but they are still going down. I have lost a total of 8.2 pounds. I am happy with that!! A Kudos out to David and Lesli who have lost 5% of their goal. Way to go guys!! Our team lost a total of 6.2 pounds last week and the biggest loser for the week is (insert drum roll)--DAVID! Way to go David!!

Lesli had a fun challenge on her blog so I will play along. You go to your 6th photo folder and open the 6th picture and tell about it, so here goes. I did not have 6 pictures in my sth folder so I changed it up a bit. I went to my last folder and chose the last photo. 

This is my son, Levi. I took this photo of him the other night when we were celebrating my parents birthdays. Levi is a practical joker and he loves to play tricks on people. He got me involved on this on. We put some peanut butter on Danika's nose and then Levi held her upside down and Roxie licked the peanut butter off. Danika was a bit scared at first but by the time the peanut butter was gone she wanted us to put some more on her nose so that Uncle Levi could hold her upside down again. The little kids all love Levi because he likes to play with them. He will turn 30 in May and in July he will become a daddy. I am sure proud of this handsome young man and so glad to call him my son.

The weather here is crazy today. Sunny, then windy, then snowy. Craziness I tell you.

Tomorrow evening i am going to a class at my LSS. I am very excited!!

Just a few things to share

We had a wonderful day with Kaya today. She is such a joy to have around. She is not a sleeper so she wore her Grandma out a little. She only slept about 2 hours all day. We played together and we took a nap together. She had fun playing with Roxie and playing with Papa. Her smile just melts our hearts. She is 11 months old today. Here is a photo of her and her bunny Violet. She has had a photo taken with the bunny every month since she was born. The first photo is when she was a week old and the second one is from today.

 

It is just so hard to believe that in one month Kaya will be 1 year old in 30 days. Just makes me teary things about it.

I was busy creating and have a few thins to share. I have 2 layouts and a card. All of the creations are done with sketches from Page Plans.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

It is very cold here in Billings this morning. It is only 1 degree! I am so ready for spring and some nice weather. We had a taste of it last week and it was great. It just left me wanting more.

My surgery date was changed. I will be the 2nd of February. I will be glad when it is all over. I have been feeling pretty good this week, but then I have been watching what I eat. Everything has been bland, I really want a taco!! Oh well just a little over a week and I can have a taco again.

I have been doing a little creating this week, but have not taken photos yet. I will try to get that done and posted sometime this weekend.

Tomorrow night we will be celebrating my Mom and Dad's birthdays. They are just a little over 2 weeks apart. The family will be coming over to my house and I am making homemade pizza. MMMMMMM

Tomorrow will be lots of fun, Kaya is going to come and stay with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy work. I am looking forward to having her.

Well I should get off the computer and go get something done, or take a nap that sounds good too!!

A little of this and a little of that

First of all let me tell you that I talked to my Dr. today and they have scheduled me for surgery on January 30th. I will be having my gall bladder removed. Although I am not anxious to have surgery it always scares me a little, I am going to be glad to have the pain gone. Thanks for all of your kind comments.

I tooted my horn a couple of posts ago and now I have some layouts and cards to share. I have been busy creating for my LSS . The papers are Spring Fling by Paper Loft. They are wonderful papers and I really enjoyed using them.

This monthly kit was so much fun to work with. I still have quite a few items that I can make some more cards or another layout with. My favorite card is the last one. I tried something that is new for me and I am happy with the way that it turned out. I stamped the coffee cups on paper cut them out, masked over them and then stamped the steam on the heart. I will definitely repeat this technique again. The layout of Danika is a 6x6, I am going to start a mini album using papers from each monthly kit. Hey I think I have at least 4 that I have not even used yet. I used a wallet sized photo which works out perfectly for a 6x6 layout.

Today was National Popcorn Day. Did you have popcorn to celebrate? We did!! After I dozed in my chair for awhile tonight, I made some popcorn. I took photos of it so that I can create a layout about NPD. Stacy Julian issued a challenge on her blog to create a page about this little known holiday. What is your favorite kind of popcorn? Mine is:

Tomorrow is inauguration day. Our wonderful country will receive a new commander in chief. I know that there are many people out there who do not like George Bush, he has not been our best president ever, but I have much respect for the one that sits in the oval office of the White House. Although I did not choose Barak Obama tomorrow he will be the President of this Great Nation and I feel that as an American I need to have respect for anyone serving as my president. Our country is in need right now and it will take everyone working together to pull her thru. Together we can keep America strong. I will be saying prayers for our country and her leaders for the future. I will also say a prayer for George Bush and a huge thank you for all he has done as our President, the most important thing is that he his actions have kept us safe from another Terrorist attack. As history is being made tomorrow please say a prayer for the new leaders and for the departing leaders of our great nation.

The Biggest Loser (our own team)

With the start of the new year there is a group of us that are following the Weight Watchers program. We have all started for various reasons. My own personal reason is to help me become healthier. The  group of us is myself, Tony, David, Lesli, Kayla and Nick. We all have various amounts that we want to lose and so far we are all doing really well. This week we lost a combined total of 11.7 pounds. I have put a couple of new lists on the right side of my blog to show who is the BIGGEST LOSER for the week and also the total weight lost by our team. I will post every week who is the BIGGEST LOSER and our total loss, so if you care to give us a word of encouragement we will all appreciate it.
This week our BIGGEST LOSER trophy  goes to KAYLA!! Congrats Kayla, keep up the good work!!

Tony and I went for a walk today and took Roxie with us. Roxie really enjoyed the walk. She was not too keen on all of the other people with their dogs that were walking the trail too. The first dog that she saw she was barking and pulling on her leash, but by the time we  were done she was doing pretty good. Here are a few photos of what we saw on our walk.

I am hoping to hear something from my Dr. tomorrow. I had another test on Friday morning. I had another bad episode with my stomach last night. I am really getting tired of feeling bad and having pain most days. Keep your fingers crossed that I get some news tomorrow.

Happy Birthday, MOM!!!

I just wanted to do a short post today to wish my wonderful Mom a Happy Birthday. My Mom is 20 years older than me and when I thought about it just now I just realized that she is 70 years old today. I love you, Mom!!

I made some cards to give her today and we took her and Dad out for lunch. Next weekend we will have a birthday party for both of my parents. I will give her gift then. I just thought that she should get something to open on her birthday. The cards that I made for her were quilt designs, which she loved. Mom has been busy making quilts, she has made 5 baby quilts since the first of the year and is almost done with a queen size quilt top. She loves her quilting!!

At home

I am at home again today. For the last month or so I have not been feeling very well. I have been undergoing some tests to find out what is wrong with me. Today I went to th ER and they still could not find anything wrong. The ER Doc said that he is pretty sure that it is my gall bladder, I have an appointment with a General Surgeon tomorrow afternoon. I will probably be having surgery sometime in the next week or so. I would love to get rid of this pain.

We are having a very cold day here in Billings. It s only about 14 degrees today and with the wind chill it is below zero. Great January weather!!

I have a layout and a card that I need to put some finishing touches on and then I can share them.

Ok the pain meds that I am taking are making me sleepy, so I am off to take a nap.

Success and Cute Smiles

I just finished my first week of WW. It was a success for many reason. I stayed on program all week and did not feel hungry at all, I got in all of the liquids that I needed in and I lost weight. I am happy with my loss this week. There are  6 of us doing WW and our total weight loss this week was 41.5 lbs!! GO TEAM!!!!

I have two of the cutest smiles ever to share with you (in my opinion).

Kayla and Nick are packing to move next week so we had the girls yesterday. We had so much fun with them. I was taking pictures and when Kaya (second photo) saw the little light on my camera this is the look I got. She is so funny. Then when I took a photo of Danika she gave me the same smile. They are both such sweet little girls.

I am very excited, I was asked to be a guest designer for my LSS, Scrapbook Legacies, for this month. I got my kit and started to put together a page and a card. The pages are from Paper Loft and are beautiful. I hope to finish the page today and will have to share it tomorrow.

It is sunny outside today and a bit windy. I am planning on going for a walk a little later today, but now it is off to complete my home project for the week, cleaning out our dining room closet.
