Productive Weekend
I have had such a productive weekend. I have gotten so much done this weekend and it feels good.
I have made a change in the way that I handle my weekends. We used to go our for dinner every Friday night with our friends and then just hang out and relax. With the beginning of the new year I decided that no matter how tired I am on Friday night I am going to go home fix dinner and get the housework and laundry done. I did that this weekend and it is surprising how much I accomplished!!
My goal for the week was to take down all of the Christmas decorations and clean out a couple of closets. I accomplished it all. My goal for next weekend is to clean out our hall closet which is a disaster area, and possibly to start cleaning out the two catch all rooms in the basement.
I am participating in a card making project that my friend, Julie's, mother, Pat has going on her blog. Check it out and join in if you feel like it, it is for such a good cause. Anyway I made 15 cards this weekend and may make a few more in the next couple of weeks.
I also created a layout this weekend.
It is about my current reading obsession the novels by Stephanie Meyer, "The Twilight Saga". It is a series of 4 books with a total of 2444 pages. I love the characters, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. I have been to see the movie 3 times and can't wait for it to come out on DVD. If you have not read these books give them a try.
I have always loved to read. Reading has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child I read books like there was no tomorrow, sometimes hiding under the covers with a flashlight to finish reading a chapter. At other times I would stay up until the wee hours of the morning to finish the book that I could not put down. I have read every Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Mystery that has been written.. As a child I won an award for reading 75 books in one
summer! I have always loved mysteries and romance books.
My current obsession is the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. I did not start reading them until all 4 books were published. I started the first one, “Twilight” and fell in love with the characters. I just love Edward and Bella and their story. I bought the boxed set at Costco on a Sunday and by Monday of the following week I had finished all of them. 2444 pages in a week. The books are that good. I have been to the theater to see the movie 3 times and can hardly wait for the DVD to come out.
There is so much controversy over why these stories are so popular, for me, they are hopelessly romantic and the way that every girl wants her man to be. Protective, loyal and to love her forever.
YES, I am a Twilight fan!!
Well it is time to get ready for bed. Have a wonderful week.

YAY for you, Chris!! I so need to clean all my closets & am hoping to get to them this coming weekend!
LOVE all your cards & your layout! I, too, became addicted to the Twilight series & have read the books, but haven't seen the movie as yet. I'm hoping it comes out on DVD very soon!
