Friday Fix-it #4

This is the 4th fix-it I have participate in over at I love faces. Each week they give you a photo to download and then you can "fix it".

The photo this week is of a cute little baby. I love the photo just the way that it is, but I played along anyway and did a few fixes on it. Which one do you like the best?

The black and white is my favorite. I like the middle one too. His eyes are he focal point of te photo and he is so adorable.

Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!!

Wow can you believe that Kaya is one year old today? I sure can't. Time just goes way too fast. I am getting teary this morning just thinking about how fast they grow up. I have enjoyed the last year with her so much and am looking forward to many more. I am looking forward to teaching her how to cook, scrapbook, take photographs and just spending time with her. She started out just a tiny little girl and now she just goes and goes and goes.
Saturday we will be having her birthday party, but tonight we are celebrating her birthday with just Kayla and Nick. Love you baby girl!!!!

 

I have no title.

I have such a problem coming up with a title for my posts. I just couldn't come up with anything today so I have not title.

The weekend went way to fast, we had Tony's birthday party on Saturday evening. It was nice to see all of the kids and grandkids. Our house is getting to small for everyone. Tony had a great time with everyone. He is going to start doing stained glass. We got him a beginners kit so that he could get started and then the kids all gave him gift cards and money so that he can get a few more things that he needs.

I am a Guest Designer at our LSS for the month of March. I have started working on a couple of projects and hope to finish them up tonight so that I can share them with you later.

Well lunch is almost over so I had better get going. Have a great day!!

Fix-it Friday #3

I just have to say that I love the I love faces blog. It is so much fun, and so informative to check out all of the activities that they have going on there. every week. On Friday's, they do a thing called Fix it Friday. They put up a photo and all of the participants fix the photo the way that they like it. I have gotten so much better at fixing photos since I started participating in Fix it Friday. Thanks girls for the fun blog!!

Happy Birthday, Tony!!

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday. Tony is one of the kindest people that I have ever met and am so glad that he chose me to be his wife and partner in life. We have so much fun together and just really enjoy each other's company. I know that when I have a bad day or am down about something Tony will be there to cheer me up. When Tony and I got married it was the second marriage for both of us. Creating a blended family is not the easiest thing to do, but we were determined to make it work. He always treated my kids like they were his own and loved them as if they were his own. He always refers to them as his kids. When my kid's father was not there for different situations. Tony was there and gave freely of himself and never hesitated to provide any thing that the kids or I needed. Tony is more than just my husband, he is my partner and soulmate. I love you, Sweetheart!!

Yesterday was a real day, if you know what I mean. It started out with my garage door not working properly and me hitting it and breaking one of the panels on the door. I am not sure what happened exactly, but the door did not go up all of the way. When I looked in the rearview mirror I could not see that it was not all of the way up. I backed up and heard this crunch. I stopped and got out and the door was partway down. I could not get the door to go up or down, it was stuck. I called Tony and he told me how to release the garage door opener. I finally got the door open (after falling on the ice) and got my Trailblazer out. I then closed the door and went to work in tears. Luckily it did not do much damage to my Trailblazer, just a couple of scratches that Tony can fix. (see I told you he was a great husband)

Later in the day we had a scare with my Dad. He has not been feeling good for the last few days. My Mom decided that he needed to see the Dr. today. Dad had a terrible headache and was very dizzy and weak. The Dr ran all kinds of tests and could not find anything, so they sent him to the ER. There they ran lots more tests and did some X-rays. We were afraid that something bad was wrong, but thank goodness everything came out normal. The Dr. determined that it was a virus and Dad was extrememly dehydrated. After 2 bags of intravenous fluids and some pain meds, he was feeling much better and was looking 100% better. I am so relieved that he is ok.

This weekend we are going to have Tony's birthday party. Spaghetti, salad, breadsticks and cake of some kind. The family will be here and it will be a good time.

Weekend fun!

We had a great weekend! We went to Gillette and then on to Rapid City. My youngest daughter lives there and her boyfriend and her were going t Rapid City to buy a new car. They were both very excited to get their new (to them) car.

The two of them had a tussle over who was going to drive the car.

Del won this time, but Renae won the next morning. She got up before anyone else and called me to go for a drive with her. They are both so excited to get the new car. I am so glad that I could be there to witness their excitement.

While we were in Rapid City we went to Mt. Rushmore. On Valentines day it was snowing and so beautiful. I have never been there when it is snowing, so I was so excited to see the snow on the Monument. It was cold but so nice to be there. Mt. Rushmore is one of my favorite places to visit. I am not sure why that is, but I love it. It is amazing. The first photos are from Saturday and the last ones are from Sunday.

This last photo is my favorite one that I took this weekend. It is a little different but I just love it, I tend to like some that are a little bit different.

Today is my last day off, tomorrow it is back to work. I am looking forward to going back and in a way wish that I had just a few more days off. I have been working on getting my craft room cleaned and reorganized. I am about half way done. (that is a whole other post)

Today I designed my grand daughter, Kaya's, birthday invitation. Can you believe that she is going to be 1 year old in 9 more days. I can't believe how fast it has gone. She is becoming quite a Grandma's girl. She cries when she can't have the phone to talk to me and when I leave or she has to leave. It breaks my heart to have to leave when she is crying. I love it that she loves me so much!! Here is her birthday invitation:

Well I guess it is time to go to bed. I am tired and 6 AM is going to come pretty early.

My friend, Lesli reminded me tonight that we used to do this thing on Thursday's call Thursday Thirteen. I had forgotten all about that, but I think that I will do one today for old times sake.

I am very excited! We are going to vist my youngest daughter this weekend. We do not get to see her very often and I am very excited to get to spend some time with her. We are also planning to go to Mt Rushmore which should be fun. It will be especially pretty if there is any snow on the landmark. We will be eating dinner on Valentines Day at Chili's. We all love the food at Chili's and I can eat it without it making me sick now. They have the best chips and salsa and I get to eat it. YAY!!!!

I started rearranging my craft room today . I got quite a bit done but I still have lots left to finish. So far it is looking great and I am excited to get it finished.

25 Random Things

Well I have been tagged to tell 25 random things about myself. So here goes:

1. I love watching the food channel and wish that I had the time and money to try some of the foods that they cook.
2. I do not like the flavor of fresh coffee, I like it when it is a day old (weird, I know)
3. My sister and I used to have lemon eating contests when we were younger. The loser was the one who blinked first.
4. I love being a Grandma.
5. I have 4 grandchildren and 2 more on the way this year.
6. I used to own a scrapbook store.
7. I got my first camera when I was 10 years old and have been hooked on photography ever since.
8. I hate the flavor of raw tomatoes, but I love them cooked in foods.
9. I hate onions, but I love onion rings, especially my mom's homemade ones.
10. My favorite tree is the type of oak trees that grow in Missouri.
11. I am a summer person, I love the hot weather.
12. I am a Disney fan, I would love to go to every year.
13. I am afraid of heights but I love roller coasters and the amusement park rides that turn you upside down.
14. I have been married for 17 years to my husband who is one of the kindest people I have ever met.
15. I have never been one to "color inside the lines".
16. My last semester of High School I got straight A's.
17. I worked in the childcare field for 21 years, and taught preschool for 6 years.
18. Steak, baked potato, sauteed mushrooms and salad are my favorite foods.

20. I love Twilight, I read all of the books in a period of 7 days, 2444 pages. 
21. I will be at Walmart at midnight on the day that the Twilight dvd goes on sale.
22. I drug my husband to the Twilight movie 3 times (see I told you he was a great husband).
23. I eat corn on the cob without butter and salt.
24. I love popcorn.
25. Diet Pepsi on ice is my favorite drink.
