Tony and I went to Riverfront Park with Danika and Kaya today. Here are a few photos that I took.

I love all of my children and I always seem to give them the same advice when they ask for my advice. What I have always told them is to have faith and to pray about whatever their problem is. Why is that not what I do when I have problems? Most of the time I do ok, but every now and then I just have to be reminded to practice what I preach.

I have been going thru some stuff lately and today it hit the fan. I have been worried about it and have been in tears most of the evening. Tonight my daughter Kayla sent me an email and it really hit home that I need to have FAITH and TRUST in GOD!!! Now like I said I know all of this but sometimes we all need to be reminded. Thank you, Kayla for reminding me to practice what I tell you. You are a wonderful daughter!!

P.S.  And, remember...
  If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself!  Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME.  All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

  Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it.  Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

  Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

The paragraph that is in italics is the one that really applied to me right now, hmmm what an appropriate email. GOD does work in mysterious ways!!!

"Im a BIG girl now"

I am sure that you have all seen the commercials on TV for pull ups. They are always such cute commercials. Well we have a big girl now at our house. Who is that you ask? I will let the pictures do the talking.

Aw, Mom this is so embarrassing do you have to take my picture? Maybe if I sit down and ignore you no one will notice the diaper.

Yep you got it, Roxie is in heat. She is really good about leaving the diaper alone so that she can be in the house. After she is done being in heat we will have her spayed. I just believe it is better for them to come in heat one time before they are fixed. I think that it makes them calmer. That of course is just my opinion.  I think I feel a scrapbook page coming on in the near future.

33 weeks, 4 to go

We are in Gillette visiting Renae and Del this weekend. We have been working on getting Hayleigh's room ready. Renae is 33 weeks now and will be having Hayleigh in 4 weeks.

 

 

Yesterday I got all of the furniture put together. Renae had bought a 3 piece set of nursery furniture, crib, changing table and dresser. It took me about 4 hours to get it all done. Tony was going to help me but his back went out yesterday morning so he has spent most of the weekend laying around.

Today I worked on getting Hayleigh's letters done for her room. Renae is doing her nursery in a Hello Kitty theme, so I used some Hello Kitty paper and stickers , along with some flowers, brads and rubons.

   

I have really had a good time this weekend, tomorrow it will be time to go home, but it won't be long before we head back down here to welcome our new little grand daughter.

The wonderful 70's

I can hardly believe that the weather is finally nice. A couple of days ago we had 92 degree weather and now it is in the 70's. Our forecast for the next 10 days is low to mid 70's. How beautiful the weather will be.

Speaking of the 70's...

no not temps but the decade. Last night we were at my parents house getting some stuff that Mom made for Renae for the baby. We were in the basement when I saw a box marked "Christine's Dolls" (that would be me). I decided to take it down and look at it. There were 4 or 5 very loved dolls in that box with a few books and a couple of other items. I just started laughing when I saw these:

OSMOND TRADING CARDS!!!
They really brought back some memories. I remember how gaga my friends and I were over the Osmonds!! We would use our allowances every week to buy these packs of cards, with a stick of gum in them, just hoping beyond hope that we would get a good one of Donny. This second card was my favorite of all, after all it says Yours forever, Donny on it!!! I mean what more could a 14 year old girl want in 1973? Isn't it funny the things that jog our memories and make us think back to a simpler time in our lives?  I am not sure that these cards are worth anything, but to me they are. I am thinking that I need to do a scrapbook page using them and journal about collecting them.

We loaded up the bassinet that my parents had stored at their house. It is an oldie but a goodie.

It is almost 50 years old. This is the first bed that I ever had. I slept in it as a tiny baby, my 3 kids slept in it and now my little grand daughter Hayleigh is going to sleep in it when she is born. My parents used it for Kaya when she was little. I am so happy that Renae wants to use this bassinet, 3 generations of us sleeping in the same little bed. Makes me teary just thinking about it.

Well time to head back to work. Lunch hour always seems to go way to fast!!

Condolences and Happy Birthday

First of all I would like to send my condolences to my friend, Pam, who suddenly lost her husband to a stroke on Sunday. Charlie was only 43, so young to be taken. Pam and Kenna just know how much I love you and am praying for God to wrap his arms around you and help you to heal. I am so sorry for you loss and love you so much. GOD bless you!

On Saturday my oldest child, Levi, turned 30. Happy Birthday to you, my son. We went to a BBQ at his house and had a great time. Thanks for the invite guys, it was so nice to spend some time with you and see some of your friends that I had not seen in a very long time.  Oh yea,you turning 30 made me feel very old!!

Now if that was not enough to make me feel old; today my baby, Renae, turns 24. Where does the time go?  Happy Birthday, sweetie!! See you this weekend. We will be going to visit Renae and Del this weekend to celebrate her birthday and help her get her baby's room set up. Hayleigh is due in 4 to 6 weeks.

Well it is time to head off to work.

My friend Lovely...

I have a friend named Lovely. She is an amazing scrapbook artist and photographer. She works at one of the LSS's and I just love to go in and visit with her. She always makes me laugh. I stopped by her blog today and her post made me laugh. You can see it here.

Everyone knows how much I love the movie Twilight and today is Edward's birthday, well actually it is Robert Pattison's birthday so here's to you Robert/Edward, Happy Birthday!!

Happy Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day with the family. We all missed having Renae here.

My day consisted of breakfast at my parents with the whole family, taking photographs of flowers and trees around my house and a long nap this afternoon. What a wonderful day it has been.

I hope that all of you have had a great Mothers Day.

Tulips are blooming: part 2

Earlier this week I posted that tulips are now blooming here. Mine have finally started and I have some beautiful ones this year. I just love tulips they are such beautiful flowers. I am trying to add some to my flowerbeds each year. I did not get them added last year as I was on vacation and then it started snowing. I am hoping to get some "Twilight Tulips" to plant this fall. I have not found them yet, but I will keep looking. If anyone finds them please let me know.
