Wow it
has been quite awhile since I posted. I have been reminded by both my middle
daughter and my 3rd daughter that it is time to post.
On
Monday, July 13 it was Kayla’s birthday. She is 26 years old now. Where in the
heck did the time go? It seems that just yesterday she was a cute little cubby
faced baby. Now she is all grown up with a toddler of her own and one on the
way. Happy Birthday (a little late) sweet daughter,
On
Tuesday, July 14 the last of our summer babies made HIS arrival. Levi and Robin
made the decision not to find out the sex of the baby, choosing to go the more
traditional way. At 9:37 PM, Talon James wicks made his entry into the world.
He weighed 6lbs 8 oz and was 19.5 in long. He is a very handsome little boy,
but then Grandma can be a bit biased. We are so happy to have Talon in our
family.
We have
been so busy this summer with all of the new babies. It is odd how it worked
out with the babies. Sean was born in June, 17 days later Hayleigh was born and
then 17 days later Talon arrived. Can you believe it in 34 days we were blessed
with 3 beautiful, healthy grandchildren? We have one more to welcome into the
family this year. In December Kayla and Nick will have their second child, and
in 6 short months our grandchildren will have doubled.
I have
not been scrapbooking much lately as I have not had time. I did take a class
the other night and made a cute little cupcake mini album. I think that I am
going to make it a Grandma’s Lil” Cupcake album and put photos of all of the
grandkids in it.
Summer is
almost half over and we have had a very mild one so far. August is usually our
hottest month, so we could be hot during that time. You know me I love the hot
weather, I never complain about it because before too long there will be the
dreaded white stuff on the ground!!
We are
planning to go to see Harry Potter and the Half-blood prince tonight. We got
our tickets on fandango and are excited to see it. I have seen all of the other
ones and have heard that this one is really good. I hate to see Dumbledore die
but that is the way that it goes.
My good
friend, Pam, is here for a visit and I am so excited to see her. We have been
friends for 28 years. When our kids were little we saw each other all the time
and did everything together. Life took over we both had life changing events
happen and Pam moved away. We have not seen much of each other in the last 18
years but we are looking forward to seeing each other and meeting each others
grandkids.
The
following are some of photos of Kaya, Talon and Hayleigh.
