Baskets of Happiness--Day 2

I am loving the Baskets of Happiness stamp set. I have created 3 cards with it this week. I shared one yesterday and now this one.

It is based on a sketch by Renee' Morris Dezember. She is one of the designers and DT members at Page Plans.

I had a few minutes to make a couple of cards the other day. I am really loving the stamps that I purchased a couple of months ago from Gina K Designs. Her stamps are wonderful to work with, they leave crisp, clear images and are so easy to clean.

                                                      

This image is from a set called Baskets of Happiness. I just adore this image. I used my Copic markers and a sparkley gel pen on he centers. I am just learning to do shading with my markers but am very happy with the way that this card turned out.

Beauty of Summer

We have had such a cool wet spring and all of our flowers are very slow in getting going. My roses are just now starting to bloom. My favorite rose that grows in my flower garden it is a Fire and Ice Rose. It is just beautiful, so I thought that I would share a couple of photo of this beautiful rose.

Finally summer!!

It has been along time coming this year but it is finally summer. We have had such a cool wet spring but for the last few days it has been warmer and is supposed to be very warm this weekend. I just have to tell you how much I love the hot weather. It makes me so happy and makes me feel alive. I know some of you are saying "how can you stand the hot weather... I like the fall when it cools down... 75 degrees is the perfect weather." Now don't get me wrong, I love the fall to, but give me the hot weather. I LOVE it!!!

I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I do not have much planned. After the wedding last weekend I just need to catch up. I have laundry to do, the house to clean and I want to just spend some time with my husband and kids. I also want to spend some time creating. I have not scrapbooked or made any cards in so long, I really miss that.

Last night we kept Kaya so that her mommy and daddy could go have some couple time with friends. It was the first time that they have done so since she was born. She is such a joy and she is just growing up way to fast. "Papa" and I just totally adore her and loved having her last night.
     

Just wanted to share a few photos of Kaya. Can you believe that she is already wanting to hold her own bottle??  The photo of her laying on the bear rug, that is her mommy's bear rug from when she was a baby. I made them for all three of my kids. Levi was about 4 when he got his but they loved them. Glad that I kept it around for the grandkids to use. I am thinking that I need to make some more for gifts this year.

Well time to get something accomplished ...

...hmmmm on second thought I think I will just sit here in the quiet and enjoy a cup of chocolate raspberry coffee.

Wedding Photos

Just wanted to share a few photos from the wedding. I have lots of photos to go thru. A huge thanks to Lesli and my daughter Renae for taking all of the photos that they did. I did not take very many as I was enjoying the ceremony.

The day was gorgeous and DanWalt Gardens was beautiful. It was just a very beautiful wedding, it would have been even if it was not my son getting married.

The top one is Tony and I with Robin and Levi.
The next one is my parents, Levi, Robin, Tony and I.
Then of course the bride and groom.
The last one is my 3 kids with the bride.

I am sure that I will be sharing wedding photos thru out the week.

time to relax...

and man do I need it.  The wedding is over and all of the festivities. It was very beautiful and the kids are so happy, and we are all so very glad that it has come to an end. We all need some time to relax.

I have lots of photos to share, but I am just too tired to even think about that right now. I hope to share some with you in the next few days.

This wedding has taken it's toll on me and I am just exhausted, maybe later I can share a few stories about everything with the wedding.

Im' off to take a nap.

Wedding Day

Today is the day that my son get married, and it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. I am up early and have lots to do. I am going to try to go and get my hair done this morning and then I am picking up the brides dress and the bridesmaids dresses and delivering them to DanWalt gardens where the ceremony is taking place. We all have to be there by 3:30 for the family photos.

Last night was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The dinner was very good, held at one of my favorite local restaruants, The Rex. We had prime rib, turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, salad, bread and cheesecake. It was all very good. I do not have any photos of the rehearsal dinner to share yet. My daughter took her camera and did not bring the cord to transfer them so she is going to take her card to somewhere and put them on a disc then I will share them.

I do have a few to share of the rehearsal, thanks go out to Becky Bishop for taking the photos for me!!
       

Tomorrow is the family bar-b-que at Robin and Levi's house. I have to make some food for that and am not sure when I will get that done. I am making salsa, coleslaw (Robins request) and molasses cookies (Levi's favorites). The salsa and coleslaw won't take very long, but the cookies will take me a little longer.

Just had to share the goodies that I got earlier in the week from Traci. Isn't this a wonderful gift package? 



Gotta run, lots to do. Please hold good thoughts for our weather today, we need a sunny calm day!!!

Page Plans Creations

This is a very busy week for me. On Saturday my son is getting married and there is so much to do before then.
I just wanted to share a couple of creations that I did using the sketches that I designed for Page Plans this week. We had a Fathers Day theme going. The DT did a great job with the sketches. Pop on over and take a look.
Here is the card that I created. This stamp  (I dont know the maker of it) reminds me of my beloved Shasta.
                                                

I love this layout of my SIL and grand-daughter. Nick is such a good Daddy!! Just make me get teary wattching him interact with her.                                                                                                    

I got a great RAK in the mail yesterday from Traci and I hope to get a photo of it later today so that I can show you all of the great stuff that she sent me. Thanks, Traci!!! I love it all and have been wanting one of those pokey things for a long time (not sure what they are called, so pokey thing works for me).

Just have to vent

I am so frustrated with the Costco photo center. Over a week ago they upgraded their online system. It was supposed to take 48 hours and ended up taking over a week. Now it is up but it is incredibly slow and won't even load all of my photos. I only use Costco for my photos because they are usually ready in one hour and I can order them from home. I know that it will probably get better but right now the site is just really making me mad!!

Finally...

I can share my latest creations. I have been so busy lately and have not had enough time to play with my papers, pens, stamps and embellishments.

Here are the layout and card that I created last weekend using this weeks sketches from Page Plans.

                            

This layout is using the new baby line from Heidi Grace. I just love all of the papers and embellishments. Aren't the buttons perfect on this layout? I love this photo of Kaya and my Dad. She just love it when he holds her because he always sings to her. Just little made up songs, but it is so cute.

                                    

This card is using papers from Daisy Bucket, Marvy Circle punches and the stamped images are from Gina K Designs. I just love her stamps. They give such a clear stamped image. I am learning to use my Copic Markers but need to practice more. I wish that there was a class that I could take.

Well gotta run and get to work.
